Our coalition of over 50 service organizations in Northeast Georgia work daily and directly with individuals facing poverty and homelessness in our area. These organizations work to provide housing, employment, health and educational services to those in need. The coalition works to serve those organizations so that they may continue to have the resources necessary to make an impact each day.

individuals and families served

Over 200 individuals and families receive support from our service providers annually.

individual coalition members

Community members including business owners, concerned citizens, and individuals with personal experience with homelessness and poverty are a part of our coalition.

We meet bimonthly in order to come together and address the needs of our community. Our executive committee and board members work to introduce topics of interest for our members and service providers in order to remain a cohesive unit and continue to meet the needs of those in our community facing poverty and homelessness. We also have four committees that meet during our off months in order to continue the work that begins in our larger meetings. All community members are welcome and we would love to hear from you!

All members of the Athens community are welcome to attend our bimonthly meetings and encouraged to become a member of the coalition. We need your input!

We have four committees that members may join at any time. These groups work to continue the coalition's efforts beyond our meeting rooms and bring about the actual change in our community. Please join our Advocacy and Outreach, Mainstream Resources, HMIS (Homeless Management Information Systems) or Community Training committees.

service providers

Our service providers are the backbone of our coalition and the whole reason that we exist and continue to make strides toward preventing and ending homelessness in our community. If your homelessness or poverty focused organization is not already a member, please join today!

board members

We have recently expanded our leadership to include 11 new board members to work with our Executive Committee. We believe the expanded leadership with help us meet our goals and make a greater impact on our community.

The test of our progress is... whether we provide enough for those who have too little.
